Im looking at buying one of the newer malibus, are these decent cars? Ive driven them before but im not sure how they hold up. im looking for one under 75k miles.
Id prefer the v6 but may go for a I4.

    anyone know anything about these?

    How new?

I'd stay away from the early 3.6 V6 engines, they are prone to oil leaks and timing chain problems.

The 2.4's are good economy cars.

That i could deal with if i can expect the engine to hit 150k without major issue.
I enjoy the way they drive and ride.

I wouldn't expect any cars to experience to many major issues within the first 3 years...its after that and especially after 5 years, things show there true colors.
