We spent about 6 hrs testing and swapping parts, maf tests good, cam and crank sensors are working properly, injector pulse is good, oil pressure is good, compression is good, fuel pressure is good etc. We also pulled the inspection covers for the timing and It is not off. We tried artificially fueling it It does the same thing every single time....key off, key on, starts and runs for 10 to 15 seconds then the ecm takes over and changes something and it sputters and dies. Everything points back to the ecm so I have one coming tomorrow, if that doesn't work im out of ideas.

The 3.8 is so much easier to work on than the vq40de my brain hurts after 2 days of testing stuff we spent a total of 11 to 12 hrs testing things, pulling things apart and reassembling. To top it off the forums suck for the pathfinder/xterra/frontier. I've posted all this same stuff over on the other forums and I haven't got any help. I can't afford to replace the pathfinder without having to sell the gp so I hope we can figure it out.

I don't even know how much beer it'll take to fix that, but I know how much I'd try to smash.
