is it a bad idea? as far as I can tell it's not explicitly stated as being illegal in my state...seems like an invitation for cops to pull you over tho, especially since the trip would be a couple hours of interstate.

    Go for it.

I assume it's to travel and get another hood.

As far as I know most states only require headlights and tail lights, you don't even need a windshield as long as you are wearing a helmet with a face shield, I think some states its just eye protection.

I was tempted to ride around hoodless when I was swapping my motor but never did.

ive done it, if your pulled over tell them your going to buy a new one. ( its the truth) dont think they will hassle you really.

the head lights and such are way more important.

Did it in the caprice wagon for about a month after a deer decided it really needed to get cut in half.

Drove both GP's around hoodless for a few days too, no issues.

passed like 3 cops and none seemed to care, worst thing was guy at the toll booth gave me a weird look when I pulled up

ended up with an sd hood and lip for 300 bucks already painted my color, so all in all it was a success :P
