The v8 in that car is nothing magical..... Gxp parts, the drive train is awd big deal think awd aztec....... Sure its not your average go to napa and pick up parts but id bet finding baer brake parts would be harder than some of the driveline parts. The body i believe is mpd molded fenders with one off hood and rear trunk lid. Still a cool car either way. As for the price tag thats to be debated.. Of course you can go faster for less like i said before the brand is dead and some people dont appreciate the heritage of the car.
**** me if I'm wrong but I'm pretty sure that is an LS1 in there and not an LS4 so GXP parts would do you no good.

I find it funny that in the description it says 0-60 comes in at 5.5 seconds.... AWD and supposedly 350 horsepower and your only at 5.5 seconds? What's in the trunk? Gold bullion!? Looking at the pics and random parts I think this is fake. Also why would the GM museum just let up a piece?

Im pretty sure I saw this car for sale on ebay like 2 years ago from a private seller. Someone posted the link on here.

    I doubt its real.

But then again, after looking at the guys ebay account.... he sold a few vehicles .... 100% positive feed back

if i had the money, that car would be in my garage right now.

and the amount of unholy things that that car would be doing would be unfathomable.

real or not. this car is still epic.

but i think i would be impossibly torn whether to mod it or not.

    but i mean...

someone needs to do something about its hungry appetite for rear diffs.
Jenny, The '99 Silvermist GTP. With the mod's that matter.
I would rather lose by a mile because I built my own car, than lose by an inch, because someone else built it for me. Your car is your story, so don't let someone else write the book.

Hard to believe the starter would work with the engine mounted transversely on a lswon

in my opinion it looks like a 97-03 body mated with 04+ base/gt parts such as the steering wheel, exhaust tips, and fog lights i believe are also 04+ just mounted behind the bumber. AWD if i had to guess is from the AZTEK. The engine i would say is an LS4 judging by the acc. belt and power steering res./ along with coolant pump. Also the amount of room the 5.7l isnt taking up. but the TB is drive by cable which does say ls1. also no DIC so possobly diff ECM??? another reason i believe its real though is who the hell wouldnt have put 04+ seats in it?

Since it doesn't come with a title I would guess it's a real concept car. Because who the hell would put that much work into a car that doesn't have title. Either way it is very cool. I would definitely not mind owning it.

If you did any research on the car it is in fact an LS1 and the AWD system is the same as the one used in the Aztek, the Versatrak or whatever it was called.

It would have been nice if GM had put AWD on the GP's....might keep me from wearing out the front tires so fast.

I'm curious, I wonder if they beefed up the 4T65E to take the ls1, or just let it be, because the car is basically for looks.

I thought I read someplace I don't think they did because it kept breaking the Versatrak system or whatever because its weak trying to make a run down a a strip. Again i don't know how accurate that information is.

A few quick notes, yes it's real, no it's not street legal, and they sold it at auction a few years ago for quite a bit less than that insane $40,000 asking price.
