They are two different phones.. I love the I phone but at the same time, Droids are open source so you can do anything with them like download illegally right to your phone. Basically Apple is **** compared to Windows, Droid or Linux but people that love Apple, love Apple.. With Apple it's just that feeling of carrying something everyone else has that's overpriced.. kinda like a shirt from American Eagle.
It's a good idea to root a Droid down the road and with Apple it's a good idea to Jail Break it.
I'm not sure why this thread is 3 pages long. There is no dispute.... Android > Apple anyday of the week.
NOW LOCK THREAD!
Honestly the biggest thing that pisses me off about iPhones is how integrated it is with iTunes. If they got rid of that, I wouldn't mind the phone.
Android > iPhone.
I have an HTC one and I love it.
iPhone is very "uncustomizable" compared to Android phones. iPhones are boring, and all look the same. Android, there is a million different things you can adjust and change to your personal preference.
I believe most people get iPhones for the simplicity reason. Very simple to use and boring. It's an iPod, with a phone.
Not closed vs open source discussion. I can access a windows phone from a Linux or windows os and drag drop.

Androids do a million things....OK
iOS devices do few things...very well
If did not have to support 30 phones, I would probably personally consider an Android. Since I do, I would prefer an OS that is stable and cannot be screwed around with. I switched us over to Apple 2 years ago from Android devices and have never looked back. The Androids we had would drop corporate mail (now exchange account) and would not sync which is what half of our needs were.
I agree that they are expensive, locked down, etc. If like to tinker, I would recommend an Android.
Android ever since Gingerbread has been a great OS and only getting better. I've had Android since the Droid 1 and have never had any stability issues.
jelly bean, yup thats mine.
