This past thursday I hydroplaned on I-40 during a rainstorm sending me and the prix sideways into a guard rail @ 55mph or so. I smacked my head pretty hard but other than that im fine.....the gp didnt fair so well. The whole left side of the car was mangled pretty bad esp. the front fender and rear quarter panel. The insurance company decided to total it, so im out of my mods and a great car, so I must bid farewell to the GTP. It saddens me to lose the prix, but have a new "toy" sitting in the driveway as of an hour ago. My wife and I found a really good deal ($5,000 less than the asking price) and had to jump on it. Altho its not a GP, at least I stayed true to the w-body family and the L67. I am the happy owner of a black 2004 Impala SS Only thing I dont like is the lack of the HUD, but other than that my wife and I really like it. I will post pics as soon as I can get my hands on a digital cam.

You should buy back your GP.....most insurance companies have a buy back option after it is totaled so they will most likely sell it back to you for a very low price. that way you can fix it and/or get your mods back. Check into it man.

Sorry to hear about the GP, but as long as you're ok that's the important thing.

    Good luck with the Impala.

And at the risk of hijacking the thread......
In regard to the site with the die-cast Impala.......THEY MAKE DIE-CAST VIBES BUT NO FREAKIN' GRAND PRIXS? ?
    This one has a V8.
Why not just make a V6 faster?

I am just as frustrated as you!! I have never seen one either, except for a NASCAR model. So yeah, the GP is waaaay better looking than some Impala!

Sorry to hear about the car, at least you got a very nice replacement. I like the Impala SS' quite a bit. Ever since riding in IndeedSS' car i've really liked them. Comfortable, nice lines, and L67 power. Great combo...

NAIOA is just a group just like GPF. We are family here, Saber was j/k.
    No need for harshness.
