This is mainly for the folks in and around the Philadelphia PA area, but anybody willing to make the trip (or send a cash donation) is welcome to participate.
About three months ago, a very good friend of mine was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. Upon the discovery, his doctors started him on very aggressive chemotherapy.
I received a call from my friend's father on Sunday informing me that the cancer has not responded to the chemotherapy, and my buddy is now in hospice care with only 2-3 weeks to live.
With that being said, I'm wondering who might be interested in participating in a charity go-kart race with the proceeds being donated, in my friend's name, to The Lustgarten Foundation for Pancreatic Cancer Research.
My plans for this fund raiser are pretty ambitious, and I'm not sure if I can pull it off the way I envision it, but I definitely plan on doing something.
I will make another post with details of when, where, and how I would like to do it once I have researched if my ideas are possible.
