To be honest, I would never deal with one of those transmissions again. I'd stick to the Getrag 282 since it can be rebuilt and there's actually an aftermarket for it.

The Grand Prix with the 2.8L got a 282 plus like every FWD 5 speed from 86+.

i'm just saying with the quantity that you'd find them, that's one of the easier cars to look for.
