Might as well just scrap your car and buy another GP just to lower it
I just pound them out, your probably gonna have to pop the ball joint and remove the whole thing then work at it. You you tried pushing down on the LCA to take some tension off the bolt?

Remove the nut then use a BFH to knock it out
Yeah I had to remove mine as an assembly, put a brick next to it to help transfer more of the shock to the bolt, and wale on it for like 2 minutes with a small handled sledge hammer. I wire brushed it real good and anti-seized it on the reinstall.
mmm nope just you lol
Today at work I got the 3800 all put back together, new timing cover and water pump gasket. Then when attmpting to fill the system using this neat tool we have, it wouldn't hold. So I put it on the pressure tester, the rad hose was leaking on the water pump outlet on the timing cover... The clamp must have been weak so I used a regular hose clamp.
Then it had a really slow leak, so I pressure tested it again but couldn't find it. So I filled the system with just water then pressurized it, the fitting in the alternator bracket was leaking (the steel adapter that the heater hose connects to) So a new o-ring went on there.
After all that we do a compression test (which I suggested on day 1, within the first 10 minutes of hearing it run) and it has low compression on multiple cylinders, cyl 6 and 4 were worst. So we're doing a motor swap on the GP. What a waste of time. At least I learned a lot about working on 3800's.
Also, I got my rear sway bar bushings. They were advertised as standard bushings, I thought well new rubber bushings is better than old ones. Well actually they are not at all like pictured They're like moogs, even have the number tag in the bag like moog's do. They're hard as a rock though.

Lets catch a raccoon who has been tipping over the trash! Already killed one, we think there are a few.

Aw I know, just wondered if he got lost because the Regal site is over there >>>>>>
Hot Rod magazine called the 69 Grand Prix and I quote "A face only a mother could love". As with people, "good looking" is subjective.
that regal site is pretty good for how to's, but other wise its dead as can be. very slow. its funny tho, you see the same issues over there as you do here.
lots of noobs too, the dumb questions are never ending over there. research guys, damn lol
I like youe GP, then again I seem like a few who like turd gens and foxbodys. Nobody in my family likes them.

Thx, Kyle.
I was pointing at an imaginary site lol. This un says GP at the top of the page! But yeah, they are so often confused with GAs because both are cheap junk. I have one friend who just can't seem to pronounce Grand Prix, always calls them GAs. What'cha gonna do?
Or calls them Grand Prix and not Grand Preee, yet this GP site has an ugly G6 at the top of it. Never was a GA fan, too small of a car for me.

Ya know Matt... these 97-08 GP's need so much help, I never have a chance to go to the Regal site..lol
Maybe we don't get to see enough of a real GP .....
You mean the kind thats so slow moss can grow on the north side? Ha. When they stuck the extra doors on, "real" ended! Prix means race, don't it? A synonym for Regal is "Queenly".

Just good natured GP banter here, I had a cool (real) Buford once too. As far as I'm concerned all 3800 cars are Buick powered. Its a shame Pontiac wasn't favored by the Chinese too, or they might still be around making G-whizzes. I will never stop poking fun at sedans though, so get used to that!
