Suddenly, every light on the cruiser goes out and it dies. In my mirror I see smoke rising from the unit. Backup arrives at this moment.

Cop walks off, returns after carefully getting my info back from his seat. Wait, do I see fire? Its a Chevy, I say to my buddy.

As we tiptoed away just out of earshot, my friend cracked the silence and said "Man the GP scared the CHIT out that cop car!". Best traffic stop ever. Ha!

i had just put a new engine in my firebird, took it out for a test drive. little did i know i left the oil pressure gauge off and forgot to plug the hole in the side of the block. didnt leak till i got on it i guess. cause 4 blocks later there was thick white smoke trailing my car.
i went a few more blocks then did a U turn to got home. being 7-11 was 4 more blocks from home i was like f it ill go hang at the store for a bit ( local hang out) after i did the U turn i picked up a oradell cop. i lived in new milford so F that out a town cop right?
wrong. i parked in a spot and he pulled in and parked he car across the back bumper of my car to block me in i guess.
he walks up asked for my paper work, i give it to him and he just walks away. says nothing. comes back with a ticket for smoking exhaust. im like here ( as im handing it back to him) hes like this is yours im like this car dont smoke!!!!! hes like really? fire it up! so i reach in the window and flick the key and it fires right up. nothing out the tail pips at all. so hes like rev it up, so i jump in and take it too 5 grand 4 or 5 times. nothing out the pipes still. now he looks confused. ok he takes the ticket back.
i walk over to the NM cop whos backing him, ive known this cop forever, im like do you believe this guy? then i see the side of the cop car is covered in little black dots from my tail pipes lol we both laughed.
so now the cop walks back over and hands me another ticket for over due inspection. once again i hand it back again lol the NM cops like wow!
i walk over to my car. my sticker had fallen off the windshield and the cop read it up side down lol 6, 9 what ever right, i hand him the sticker and im like wrong again sir. he left so pissed the F off. and i got no tickets.

Drove past 2 Johnson cops running radar in a 30, they light me up, I pull over. Tail light out, they say. I walk around the back and say "Which one?" All are bright. Not the first time I had a tail light short that got me pulled over then lit when re-checked. I explained that 76 El Camino tail lights are not being reproduced, blah blah.
Yeah thats what we don't like about these old cars, the lights are dim. Don't get me wrong, you guys in old cars are the safest drivers, we never have any trouble really just stuff like that. You'll fix that lamp, right?
Listen uh, one other question... I'm training my partner here and we wanted to ask about your tag. What kind is that?
Just an antique plate. They started putting a letter at the front, but this is from before that when it was all numbers. (Its a $14 lifetime no renewal tag, with a few restrictions on mods)
I couldn't believe they didn't know. No further hassles and I was on my way but a cop who doesn't know his tags? Dang. Of course that was several years ago and now the state has gone ape with specialty tags and has at least fifty kinds, no lie.

Oh god the pollen here is ridiculous. The cleaner spot was a test spot with some detailer and vinegar to remove water spots which didn't come off

once you get it nice and buffed up pick up one of these dusters. http://www.amazon.com/Original-Calif.../dp/B00008RW9U they work great. only way i see your car keeping clean looking being you live a dirt road from hell.
it dont take long to run this over the car either.

My car gets dusty hours after I wash it, because the neighbors always cut the lawn or use the leaf blower. Or I drive past construction. Always something, and that dust comes right off. But when it rains the dust sticks and I wonder if this safely takes that off, probably not all of it.

my brothers got one being hes super anal over his truck. it see's the buffer every month lol duster as needed, garage kept too.
hell his garage has a floor drain so he can wash it inside the garage in the winter. lucky bastard lol

I'm sittin on a tailgate, middle of a stargaze.......
Literally. And I'm singing to myself. It's kinda scary. Dark and I'm not familiar with my surroundings....hopefully the boogy man doesn't come get me. My singing will probably scare him off tho.
They were thinking we'd be done by midnight but now its looking more like 1-2. And I still have an hour drive home and have to be back at the office at 7am.
