Thread: Intercooling Systems on Supercharged Vehicles: Project for UCF

OK, so I've mentioned before I'm in school for engineering. I'm currently taking a Engineering Fluid Mechanics class and we have a group project. My group has decided to do Intercooling Systems on Supercharged Vehicles.

With that in mind, does anyone know of a few companies that do intercooling systems? I know of Ford, GM, Eaton, ZZP and that's about it. If anyone knows any people that work on intercooling systems that could possibly have design drawings, fluid properties or other system related information I'd greatly appreciate any of that information or contact information to get it myself.

Got no connections or names to share, sorry. All I can suggest is "cold call" ZZP an email explaining the project and see if theyre willing to help. I know they're in the middle of a big move/employee growth spurt, hopefully they can spare the time to help.
I can't imagine even getting a response from Ford or GM. But perhaps they have programs in place to assist students.

Curious.... if you don't mind. How you like UCF? Going to be applying there as a transfer student very soon for Information Technology / Computer Networking.

I was thinking about ZZP, cause I figured the big companies will take too long to respond.

UCF is nice, but big. Undergraduate lower level classes are huge, but as you get into higher level classes the class size drops to a more reasonable 40~60 students per class. I like it a lot though.
