Will the 4t80 trans from a north star bolt to a 350 Chevy small block me and my buddy are building a Cadillac limo it's a 75th anny and we need to find a trans. The trans from his original car I believe was a 4t65 and we had to scrap it to get the 350 but now we need a trans for a fwd. any help would be awesome

the only cars i can think of that were fwd with v8 were the olds toranado, and the caddy eldorado. cant think of any chevy fwd cars with a v8.

I was thinking a 4t80 from another caddy but we have read that we need a like adapter. I wasn't sure if anything else would bolt up

**** me if I'm wrong but isnt the 350 a 90* bellhousing? So the 4t80 should work.

Yeah a 350 has a 90* ballhousing so the 4t80 should bolt up. It's a tough trans but its a power robbing beast.
