It was probably the 4 cylinder. They only had like 140 hp if I remember right.

    Why would you say that?
Either you're trying to be a smart ass...
    OR
You're making assumptions...just like the kid in the Eclipse did.
I'm sure the kid probably ran a stockish GTP in the past and assumed he might have me covered.
I didn't post to brag about beating an Eclipse, I only posted because I thought it was a funny coincidence the OP would post about this on the same day I had an "encounter" with one.

The **** grin smirk on her face and her waving as she passed me was all I needed , and all I got. I buried myself asking her to race and saying I was gonna smoke her.

He was saying he's sure the car that revved at your was a four banger model.

Don't know what's hard to grasp there.

    ...

Lots of ricer math going on in here.

Also: The **** you running 110 for? Is it unleaded? Most of that crap is leaded and you probably ruined your o2 sensors.

Its leaded and I'm fully aware of what it does to cats and o2 sensors. 3 gallons of 110 isn't **** added to pump gas. But to answer your question of why? 93 pump on a hot day I see 4-5 * or. 3 gallons of 110 and zero knock, feels much snappier and quicker overall. No hesitation or bogging either. Seems like a pretty good band aide fix every month or so , if you ask me.

Thanks for the clarification...not sure what part of my post you didn't understand?
My post wasn't directed at you, it was both a question and a comment for the OP.
By stirring the pot and bringing this back up you only reinforced my point.
Either he was trying to be a smart ass or was making assumptions!
The only ricer math going on here was the OP "assuming" that since I beat the Eclipse it had to be a 4 banger...LOL!

Generally speaking, I'd be more afraid of 4 banger eclipses than the V6 ones. The last v6 import I ran was a 350z, and I felt bad for him afterwards.

How about you read again so you can get your facts straight.
The "OP" was Stealthee. He was the one with the "ricer math" who "assumed" it must have been a 4 banger beacause I beat it.

"OP" is the original poster...Originator of the thread, Comatoast. I get that you're talking to the first person who replied to you, but there is obviously miscommunication taking place here.

OK. It's done. Don't care about the he said, she said. All that matters is my girlfriend beat my grand Prix in a roll race with a bubble butt car. That's enough to make me feel like poo for the rest of the week, thank you very much.

It'll damage those parts...because they aren't lead tolerant.

Mixing with unleaded or not...it doesn't matter. You're still introducing it into a system that doesn't support it. You can buy high octane UNleaded gas anyways, just double check next time.

Also, get a tune in that thing...4-5* of KR at WOT could make up some ground on that Eclipse anyways.

Thanks man. I have no cat and the o2 by where the cat used to be is tuned out. Talking to a few people, they told me the issue about leaded gas years ago, but I still ran it in my SSei quite a bit. If I was running straight leaded 110 I could see going through 2 o2 sensors a year, but I have never had any issues with just a few gallons mixed in with my 93 3-4 times a year. I've actually heard running leaded in moderation is good and can clean the system. Dunno if that's true or not. But its like my old SRT. That ran on e85 and I was told that once or twice a year I should switch the tune back to pump gas and run a few tanks through it. For almost the same reason.

Also where is a good place/ site to buy race gas.? I live in Minnesota and thought there were a few places in the Minneapolis , st Paul area but can't find the site. If nothing else id run race gas just for the smell. Yes , I know I'm weird
