How are we supposed to know what your policy does or does not cover?

You don't have to be a dick. It was a general question to see if anybody else has had a similar issue in the past.

Most policy's will not cover water damage from surface water, I.e., floods/rain unless you have that specific coverage. Usually a homeowners policy will cover water damage from broken pipes and such within the dwelling. Sooooooo... If you don't have a broken pipe, it won't be covered! I don't think the foundation cracking would be covered in any event...

    Good Luck!

But like said already... Every policy can be different, no way for us to know, you got to read yours.
