That one is still a 1:18 scale truck. What makes that one better than the one I bought?

Brushless and hobbyking has some pretty decent stuff.

You can still buy kits that you put together yourself. Tower Hobbies has quite a few.
Kits are $$ and dont come with rx/tx, thats another 50/100 for a QUALITY pair. My tamiya kit was $200 alone. $30 for ball bearings etc etc it all adds up. If you stop buying junk r/c to get your feet wet then money wouldnt be a problem. If you want to get your feet wet go to walmart and buy a $40 1/10 new bright. A real few hundred $ r/c isnt even a comparison.
**** even my sub $200 rc car is worlds better than that New Bright garbage.
No, and their toy grade stuff is garbage.
come on now, giant hummer or avalanche chassis swap ftmfw
My friend has the giant New Bright Hummer, its a slow pile of crap.
perhaps you missed my stutter on a chassis swap
Or just get a Hummer body.
Found one of these in working condition on eBay for $25, this was my first toy grade rc that I remember having, thing was a blast to drive.

Now to start some fun. No Lipos yet as my charger has been stuck jumping around sorting facilities in Sioux Falls since last night.

Got everything installed, got my balance charger finally and charged up one of my Lipo packs. Took it for a quick spin and I was only able to hit 28mph still running stock gearing and I haven't messed around to much with the settings in the Castle Link yet.
I hope you didnt expect 50.
With 3s and the right gears I can.
And does this count as breaking something?

acceleration or top end, pic one
I just want to see how fast I can get it going, then I'll gear back down so I can bash with it.
I feel it should be faster, the Ruckus with the Dynamite Tazer system and a 7 cell NiMh will do 36 mph.
