Re: The *Unofficial* GPF RC Thread
you guys are all just into the race trucks? nobody with any model RC's? Ive got a Tamiya 1/10 Jeep Wrangler on the XC chassis and a old school original Clod Buster that my dad bought in Taiwan in the Navy. The clod hasn't even been upgraded to a ESC yet because of the dual motors. The last time I dug them out and fixed them up I took the resistor and stuff out and put a ESC on the Jeep. their both broken right now
Re: The *Unofficial* GPF RC Thread
Never used a wheelie bar and never will. The fact that the car will do backflips and pull up and drag the wing at like 30mph is too much fun.

Re: The *Unofficial* GPF RC Thread
What kind of connector do i need to get. I guess i could snip the connectors off the old esc and solder those on
Re: The *Unofficial* GPF RC Thread
Shoot me a pic of what connector your old one had.

Re: The *Unofficial* GPF RC Thread
I do have traxxas adapters on the batteries already
Re: The *Unofficial* GPF RC Thread
Ok, on your old esc hold the black plastic plugs TIGHTLY and give the wires a hard pull. The copper contacts will pull out of the plugs. Unsolder them and solder them to your new esc then stick them back into the black plug.
Just be SURE you have the polarities correct.
Also be sure you have a GOOD solder joint!!! the monster pulls a Lot of amps.

Re: The *Unofficial* GPF RC Thread
Couldnt i just cut the wires and solder those to the wire and heat shrink it then
Re: The *Unofficial* GPF RC Thread
You could, but the least amount of connections you have the better it is.

Re: The *Unofficial* GPF RC Thread
its just that i dont have a small enough solder gun to fit inside the connector
Re: The *Unofficial* GPF RC Thread
You don't have to have. Pull the wire out of the connector.
Ill take a picture of what I'm talking about in a few minutes.

Re: The *Unofficial* GPF RC Thread
went to the hobby shop. 5 bucks and they soldered a plug on for me. price included the plug as well. and i forgot to get a y cable. so on a half dead 2s lipo. its about as fast as it was before on 2 2s lipos and twin 525 titans. esc is ziptied down till i get more double sided tape.
