I was thinking about it. Why hasn't anyone successfully done this? I'll be the first to admit that while I do know my fair share about cars and how they work, my knowledge isn't that of a person who's been working with cars for 20+ years with me being 16 lol. I was just wondering how this hasn't been done? (Unless it has and i'm completely oblivious) I've seen someone do the RWD, Northstar swap but never the LS'. I don't see how it would be possible considering this guy shoved a hemi down a PT Cruisers throat... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-JsXwlclGwk

The 4t65e could barley handle the power of a n/a 3800 let alone a v8.

Ls1... Cramped engine bay... Aluminum engine heating the transmission.

They also used the Awd transmission that's in the Aztecs. Which is a variation of the 4T65E.

Sorry to "counter" your statement but wouldn't you just swap the LS/T56 pair in? So that you wouldn't use the 4t65e

It's just not cost effective unless you're talking about an LS4 from a GXP. That wouldn't be the best idea either since those aren't crazy expensive.
