Deputies: Despite road crew's warning, man keeps masturbating - Times Union
FLORIDA — A 49-year-old Dunlap Road man was charged with two counts of public lewdness Thursday for allegedly being too hard at work while a county highway crew was hard at work nearby.
Jeffrey C. Smith was arrested after twice being caught masturbating in front of a team of DPW workers, even after he was warned the workers were taking his picture, the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office said
The DPW crew was hosing down a nearby bridge when they first spotted Smith leaving his house about 1:20 p.m. and peeking around the corner at them from an outbuilding on his property, the sheriff's office said.
When the workers confronted Smith, they allegedly found him masturbating, yelled at him and left the area to refill their water tank, the sheriff's office said.
After the workers returned about 20 minutes later, Smith allegedly left his house and headed toward the outbuilding a second time, the sheriff's office said.
Anticipating an encore, the workers whipped out their camera phones and filmed Smith once again "in the act of pleasuring himself" — despite the fact that the DPW crew warned him that he was being filmed and would be arrested, the sheriff's office said.
Smith was arrested without incident and issued an appearance ticket for the misdemeanor charges in Florida Town Court May 16.
