Couldn't find a thread already but incase you haven't heard. Someone set off at least two bombs at the finish of the Boston Marathon earlier this afternoon. I don't know who it was or why, but I'm ready to nuke the hell out of whoever did this.

The blasts downtown in Copley Squareoccurred just before 3:00 p.m., according to MyFoxBoston.
The number of casualties changed rapidly throughout the afternoon. Two people were killed and twenty-three others were injured, according to a preliminary statement from the Boston Police Department. The number rose to more than 100 injured shortly after 5 p.m., the Boston Globe reported.

I thought I left this **** behind in Afghanistan. Wonder how long till it gets up here to Canada. Maybe time to sell everything and go live in the wilds up North. My thoughts and prayers go out to those killed and injured.

I was tracking 12 friends that were running the race, and one was pretty much even with the intersection where the first bomb went off when it went off. She thought a transformer blew up. Luckily all my friends and their families are safe, but damn...I'm afraid to run another big race now and invite my family to watch...

Such a terrible thing to have happen. Praying for all those involved.

One little thing I noticed in the article above which left me confused is in bold..

"BOSTON (AP) — The bombs that blew up seconds apart at the finish line of one of the world's most storied races left the streets spattered with blood and glass, three dead, more than 140 wounded and maimed and gaping questions of who chose to attack at the Boston Marathon and why.

Federal investigators said no one had claimed responsibility for the devastating attack on one of the city's most famous civic holidays, Patriots Day. But the blasts raised alarms of another terror attack in the U.S. after the explosions at a public event among crowds of thousands of spectators.

President Barack Obama was careful not to use the words "terror" or "terrorism" as he spoke at the White House Monday after the deadly bombings, but an administration official said the attack was being treated as an act of terrorism.

"We will find out who did this. We'll find out why they did this," the president said. "Any responsible individuals, any responsible groups, will feel the full weight of justice."

The Pakistani Taliban, which has threatened attacks in the United States because of its support for the Pakistani government, Tuesday denied any role in the marathon bombings.

The group's spokesman, Ahsanullah Ahsan, denied involvement in a telephone call with The Associated Press. He spoke from an undisclosed location.

The FBI took charge of the investigation into the bombings, serving a warrant late Monday on a home in suburban Boston and appealing for any video, audio and still images taken by marathon spectators."

How exactly does the Associated Press know the number to reach this guy?

Well, It's up here in Canada already. Luckily the lowlife bastards were stopped before they could carry out their cowardly attacks. Wonder if we can use the pricks for artillery targets?? Alleged 'al-Qaeda-supported' plot against Via train thwarted - News - MSN CA
