The car wouldn't shift into 4th at WOT, but it did shift into 4th when I got out of it...

my car never went that fast, nor was it tuned to. i like my transmission.

what do you mean by letting it run out of oil for a minute or so?

when you run it WOT like that for such a long time the bearings get starved of oil. do it enough times and youll spin a bearing.
