    2008 G8 GT 6.0l Auto
    49k miles. Black
    19k obo.

Anyone have any first hand experience with these cars? Wife wants to trade in her 08 Malibu LTZ 3.6vvt for an AWD Lacrosse (she loves them nothing I can say to change her mind)

Or she will take my paid off compg and ill drive the G8. But also take over the payments.

Just a thought that popped into my head. Figured I'd see what opinions were out there.

I'm going to leave that up to you.

You'll want to consider what you'll be getting with it. Like the car payment, less mpgs, a faster car, more expsensive repairs (not likely many being so new). Sure it would be sweet to own one, but can you or want to afford one at this time.

I can afford it just I've always bought my vehicles with cash. And she's always had the car payments.. In sure at this point with the compg gearing I'm not getting much better than what the G8 would be and repairs would just come down to price of parts I can tackle anything. Already checked on insurance it's surprisingly only a few dollars more per year.

Great price usually you'll be paying 23-25k+ for one around here with more miles from what I've found. Ultimately I think it depends on if you want a car payment or not. I'm assuming your wife's makes her car payment with the money she gets from work etc and then vice versa? As far as repair it could be costly but shouldn't have to worry about that but something I would keep it mind. Gas mileage won't be to much worse then what you get I imagine.

I'd check the carfax on that thing...

G8's are holding price pretty well as of yet, I'd venture to say something isn't 110% correct about it.

Intrigue98 has an 08. Price seems about right. They can be higher/lower based on mileage alone. Without getting full on snow tires etc etc the car is worthless in the snow. Hey..it's a powerful RWD sportscar.

Great cars though, nice build quality from what I've seen.
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.

Agree, was looking a little bit for a G8, never seen one under $20 with that low miles... $75 carfax report is well worth it if you are SERIOUSLY ready to sign dotted line. Certified pre-owned means what? Warranty thru 100k? Otherwise it don't mean squat!

Haven't figured out what we are doing yet. But I put a hundred miles it at least. lol.

We will see if she can find a lacrosse she likes first that way I'm not "making" the decision for her if we end up with this

It really comes down to the dealership giving her pay off on her malibu which shouldn't be to difficult

    Good Luck!
My GXP was certified pre owned and it came with free maintenance (oil changes, tire rotations, etc) for 2yr/30,000 12mo/12,000 mile bumper to bumper warranty, and of course the 5yr/100,000 mile powertrain warranty from the original in service date. The biggest advantage to me is the better finance rates, and access to new car warranties (gm bumper to bumper through 100,000 miles etc.)

Carfax IMO isn't worth $25. I've seen many cars with perfectlly clean history, yet...they've had things done or lots of damage. Carfax only picks up the info if it's supplied. When it's not supplied, you have no way to know via carfax. An example is a car I bought. Carfax said no accidents no anything ever, good maintenance at a dealer etc. Looking closer the driver entire door was replaced. Merely saying, there is no replacement for looking over a car yourself.
