Does anyone know of rear view mirrors that have the lights in them for our grand prixs? I'd really like to get some if I could find some. If you don't know what I'm talking about the Bimmers have em. I also think I'm gonna go with clear corner lenses. Where can I find those for a decent price?
I'm pretty set on dishing $1000 for the whole SD kit.
I talked to our family friend and he said the insurance company is probably going to just cover the damaged parts and paint for the damaged parts and "blend" it, but he said don't worry about that, just get my estimate, and he'll take care of me and paint my whole car for me. That would be awesome.
I have the Medium Blue Metallic but I'm thinking about getting aluminum flakes. Probably chrome, but not too much. I found this website and I'm thinking about a light amount of these holographic flakes, maybe gold, and getting my bronze/gold rims, and a gold ram air sticker on my SD hood. Blue and Gold.... good theme?

Yeah, your talking about the M3 mirrors. I haven't found any yet. Like to get some myself. I was thinking when my brother swaps his, taking his factory BMW mirrors and making my own adapter plate for them and if they look good, ordering a set of the M3's. I think the holographic flakes on that color blue would look good. Can't wait to see some pics of her done.

That's what my brother ordered for his and said they came with diferent mounting plates, but I haven't had a chance to see if any fit ours. The triangle looking peice that goes up against the door looks really close to being the same, so I'm sure it wouldn't take much to make them work and look good. But, hey for 20 bucks, if they don't, can always resell them to a guy with a honda for 40.

if I'm lucky they will say my hood is no longer manufactured (heat extractors) and I'll get to choose whatever one I want, and I'd get the Carbon Fiber instead of Fiberglass

I got hit by a deer this morning. It was so loud and scary. I saw it coming. I was in the TA and she hit my passenger door right above the handle. I freaked out. Couldn't breath. Thought about my car then cried like a school girl. I pulled over up the road to look. Can you believe.....there was like snot or goo on my door but not one dent. I thought by the sound, that it rolled back and took out my tail light (the side). Now I get to get up at 5am and do it again.

Wow... no damage... that's crazy. At least you're ok! I had some deer flesh on mine and a bunch of hair.
As an update, my car estimate was yesterday and the insurance company said my total damage is worth more than the vehicle so it is totaled. I'm pretty disappointed especially since I owe more on the car than what they'd give me. They said they would see if they can mark up the value of my car a little bit. I may try to see if they will let me deal with some damage and give me up to the total cost. I just want to save my title.

That would dbe nice if they can just give you what the cars worth, not total it and just tell you your on your own for any charges over that amount. Hate to see a nice car like that go down. Good luck with the dealing of your insurance company.

If you haven't looked already, ebay usually has body parts pretty cheap. Haven't looked in a while. Would be nice to find one just like yours, but messed up on the other side. Good luck with the parts search and I'll keep my eye out for anything.
