Next time - hit the cat...

Even if someone slams on the brakes for no reason at all you should still leave enough room to stop. Otherwise you are following to closely.
Doesn't matter. Like was said, it is your responsibility to leave enough room in case a driver has to hit their brakes. You think maybe he slammed his brakes because you were following too close?
The rule of thumb is to leave 3 or 4 seconds between you and the driver in front of you. That means the faster the speed, the bigger the gap.
well i was following a friend in an unknown area.. we was doing roughly 55 and then he slammed on his brakes saying a deer ran across the street.. we both slid across gravel and he stopped before i did.. he bought his camaro for 1200 and got 3900 from insurance.. and that is an urban neighboor hood.. there was no damn deer.. im friends with his family and they told me he did it on purpose.. sooo idk lol
Some friend
Ehh I'd call it even. Karma and all
ive seen some preaty messed up and mangled cars latly on the side of the high way cause of all this weather. i know alot of you are experianced drivers but its the other person to watch out for so you all be carfull out there and be safe.
Speaking of.. Ya know that dusting we got yesterday? Well I was at work on a smoke break and I saw an accord drive right off the highway. He didn't hit anything, and was trying to drive back up this quite steep hill. 25 mins later a tow truck shows up
that was the most exciting thing that happened all day.
Back from the dead...
Today on my daily commute back from work a tie rod snapped going around a sharp corner. Car veered right, and ate a curb. Got it towed to the shop, put it on the lift... and it does not look pretty. Rim is junk, tie rod, control arm, knuckles, struts, cradle is bent, etc. Not a good day for me, or my beloved Regal GS!
That f'ing blows man
Honestly, that's not TOO bad given it could have been a lot worse any time a tie rod goes. The only part that's going to suck is the cradle.
