Anyone on here been to Alaska? What part of the state were you located and what time of the year would you consider to be the best to visit?
Also, is there anything that you consider to be a 'must see' in the state?

gonna go check out that hot piece of vice president a s s huh?
on a serious note i wanna go fishing out there, take the cruise, icicles on my beard the whole 9!
I'd go to Juno...I hear it is very nice.... or that one city that Dave Attel visited a few years back.
nothing like 24hrs of sunlight!!!
i wanna go there in the worst way... wanna go fly fishing for salmon and i really wanna go sled dogging there
yes... exactly
summertime its never really dark, wintertime its always dark
the Northern lights are a must see
I've been to Anchorage, Kodiak and Shimya(sp?).
You really have to be an outdoors kind of person. Must see's are the glaciers, denali national park, must do's salmon fishing, halibut fishing...
If in Anchorage cool places to hang out
club atmosphere Chillcoot Charlies,
bar atmosphere Darwin's theory, Humpy's bar and grill
strip club, Great Alaskan Bush company
Nice hotel to stay in Anchorage would be Captain Cook. Flight attendants stay there so lots of good lookin gals lookin for a fun time. Easy walking to the bars, cab is needed for the jiggly room
I've been there at various times of the year summer is by far the best. It does feel odd to close the bar down at 3AM and still have the sun shinning.
