Have you ever drove by a house so often and seen the same car, sitting in the same spot every time with out a for-sale sign? Well there is this nice black 4 dr GT that has been sitting in the same spot for years. I keep wanting to ask the home owner if they want to sell it, but i keep talking my self out saying " well if they wanted to sell it there would be a for-sale sign" Right?
I guess the worst that can happen is that they say " No". How should I aporoch this lol?

I think you already have it figured out!!!! Or ask them if they are still selling the car, just tell them you thought you saw a 4sale sign on it at one time.

Just stop and knock on the door. Or if you are a little shy write a note with your number and stop by when you know they aren't home and leave the note on the front door. If you get a call, then you have your answer.

I've actually had a few people ask if my Stealth was for sale since it has been sitting for awhile. They either caught me outside, or stopped and knocked on the door.

grow a set of balls, stop and knock on the door, whats the worst that can happen? they throw you off the door step, yup thats about it lol

or they sell you a car, its a crap shoot. i'd look at it like a 50/50 shot at best.

I've had someone ask if my Grand Prix was for sale, cause it sits a lot in the same spot. I rarely drive it. Just knock on the door and ask if the Grand Prix might be for sale. Simple as that.

Go and ask, like everyone said worse that could happen is being told no. Or leave a note on the car even, i have had that happen to me as well.

I have had alot of people ask me if my 82 gmc truck was sell everywhere from gas stations, malls, while i was working on the GP, even a mechanic LOL, same thing happens with my GP. The answer is always no but always worth a shot.

If you ask let us know what happens.

Hit the bank, walk up with whatever cash you're willing to part with. Knock on the door, offer less in cash right now for it, give yourself room to bargain up.
Irridium spark plugs last 100k mi and work just as well as copper. Copper is a waste on N/A and only lasts 15k mi. Don't use Platinum.
Use 195* tstat unless you can thoroughly explain why not; 99.9% don't need a lower temp.
Almost any oil filter, ever, is of higher quality than ACDelco. Spend $6+.

well, I went over there today and no one was home. But it gave me a chance to check the thing out. It needs some work and if i can get it for under $700 I might go for it. The frond driver door is dented, the rear bumper is falling down and the quarter panel by the taillight is folded in. Didn't look at the other side. It deffinitley has not been driven in a very long time. Idk if it is worth it or not. I already have 2 gps so i would probably buy this one and flip it if anything. Idk I shall see what they want for price.

**** I've had a few occasions where my cars were parked in the driveway and had people try and succeed in buying them. I actually bought my new house specifically because of the garage I wanted to keep a car for once.

You say to yourself why doesn't he just say no? Because every time I have they throw some rediculous price tag out there and I'm a fool to have said no.
Ex. 04 GTP 240k+ miles all original as in no motor or trans swaps.. Offered 7500. SOLD lol

Here's the last shot I had of it a day or so before this 16yr old kid and his parents bought it.. Let me rephrase his parent bought for him

Yup just ask worse they can say is no but you've also succeeded by putting the idea that someone may want to buy the car could be good or bad.

My cars sitting in my driveway without any tags I've had a few people stop by if they see me outside working on it or so and ask if it was for sale. Told them nope it's my baby and most left.

Same situation with some stock rims I have laying on the side of the house one guy actually rung my door bell and woke me up (I was pissed on how many times he kept ringing it) asked if ill sell them told him yup and just threw a number out there...$200 new he was a b/s he always rode his bike around town and told me I'm get evicted from my house and I have a cadillac that just sitting in the years with no rims and tires and was hoping to have it moved so I didn't want to spend to much. Yup still $200 and made sure I moved the rims to my back yard just because I got the suspicious vibe from him.

Keep going back til you get your answer, other than getting a NO, they might hire you to help revive the old car. Nothing wrong with a little side money.
