So I have bought a few toys this year to play with in my limited spare time.... I was never sold on the whole Wii system until I got to play one that Jen's sister was borrowing from a friend and I was sold! The next day out of pure luck I found one at a local store and was one of six they got in a recent shipment, the next day they were all gone so I must have walked in at the right time! I played a lot of bowling at first, the one on the sports disc that comes with it. I really dont see the need or have even thought about getting any other game for it. I think Nintendo really hit the nail on the head with this system. I am often running around pickup up parts, glued out in the garage working, or shipping out orders and answering emails so I dont have much time to work out or anything but thought this whole Wii idea was my answer lol. Like everything else I seem to buy spur-of-the-moment I used it a few days out of the first few weeks and then it sat and collected dust like my other game systems but have been playing it a bit more lately and really took a likeing to the boxing game that is on the disk. Wow is all I can say! My arms and upper half are pretty sore playing a few days about an hour straight! I reached a point where it seems pretty hard to go up the ladder in points but have also learned a little more about how you are supposed to play it and not just throw repeated blows at the other guy lol. Anyways in a nutshell I really like the Wii and seems like a much better workout tool than a video game and they also have the Fit pad which Jen wants to try out but is a bit salty and also hard to find around here so down the road if I find one I will likely pick one up so she can see how that works out. If anyone reading this does have a Wii and has any game recommendations I am all ears but again I often buy things and then they sit lol.

i got a wii for the daughter , it is cool to play but i think they could have done WAY better on the graphics , all the player look like the "wiebols wobble but they dont fall down people". if they had grapics at least as good as my play station 2 it would be the bomb.

Oddly enough Dave, when I saw my first Wii, I thought too, wow, this could be a good sorta exercise or get the heart rate up game system.

I have a Wii and if you want a good workout game while still having fun check out Mario and Sonic at The Olympics. It is a pretty fun game and you will be breathing hard after doing some of the swimming events. You can download N64, SES and Super Nintendo games on the Wii and you can also get online with it. I have Madden and it is a pretty fun game on the Wii. Mario Kart is a great game as well.

My Older sister has bought over 15 Wii's in the last year. She would get to stores at the right time and buy a couple and then sell them to people who she knew wanted one for exactly what she paid for it. My younger sister has a Wii as well and my mom has Wii Fit and I have tried it out and it is pretty neat.

Bought the girlfriend a Wii for her birthday this August along with a couple games. I suck at boxing, bowling I'm awesome at lol. Last weekend we picked up Mario Karts for it and a couple wheels, been hooked ever since. Game was about $45, came with a wheel and picked up another wheel for $20. It's a nice change of pace from the Xbox360 games I'm used to playing shooting, killing, stealing stuff from people in GTAIV and COD4. I also picked up Madden 09 for my Xbox360, they have it out for Wii too, also an awesome game if you like football.

Yeah I agree on the graphics for the sports game that came with it, the salt and pepper shaker-weeble wobble style characters are pretty simplistic but I dont think the focus was on graphics more so than function so I let it slide though it is funny. I am up to 900 skill level on boxing and the guys get pretty hard around the 700ish level and you have to work a bit harder and try some more skill lol. All we played when we bought it was bowling and then a buddy of mine showed me the power-bowling in the training section and wow is that fun to play! 91 pins in the last frame is insane!!! Then we found a cheat to use that knocks them all down at the same time and is hit and miss to make happen but is pretty sweet to do and helps the points out a lot. I do have it set up for internet and checked out the older game support and think that is a really sweet idea. I used to be wired to the original Mario Kart on the SNES back in the day and THAT was my game! Me and a buddy played that non stop and upset a lot of friends when we would smear them since we learned a few driving tricks and were lapping everyone constantly lol. Jen's sister really liked the one on the Wii also but I havent tried it yet.

I bought a Wii about a month ago... The sports that comes with it made my right arm sore for a few days, and I lost interest after a couple of weeks.

Last week I bought Rock Band. I knew I would get into playing with the guitar, and knowing that I would kick myself if I didn't get the drums and microphone I went ahead with the complete kit. You can play solo on any of the instruments(including bass guitar) or up to 4(1 additional guitar required) people can join in all playing an instrument or singing.

I play solo guitar on the Wii quite a bit and it's not anything like playing a real guitar(much easier). Also, I've had more company in the last week than I've had in the last year. We were all up late Friday and Saturday night playing Rock Star..... It really is quite fun to "Jam" with others on the Wii.

Oh, and just FYI.... With the Wii........ Guitar Hero and Rock Band are not compatable with each other.
