New Jersey is fvcked. Scott should be alright his area didn't get it too too bad mostly flooding. But over 87% and 3million people are without power for a projected 2-3weeks and could be longer in someplaces.. It's going to be a longggg time before anything gets back to normal... I'm up in north jersey in the mountains so there are massive trees down over power lines and houses and just everything. My GTPs ok. Ill try to come on here as much as I can. (Stole gfs iPhone at the moment because Internet doesn't exist anymore As we'll as cell service)I post updates as time goes on to anyone who wants to know. But at the moment. The entire jersey shore line ceases to exist anymore. All boardwalks and shore houses are obliderated . and in other lol news I watched a guy fill up his regal GSE with regular today...Ill try to post pictures of what I can but if you want to look for yourself I'm sure google has current nj pictures..

Scott sent me a text yesterday. "Got hit pretty hard, no power, no cell and texts barely work". Sounds like he's ok, probably be a bit before anyone in the area of NJ is dry again.

CT fared pretty well this time. Shoreline is hammered, lots of flooding, and in my area it was not much more than wind and some rain. Probably because this year the neighbors and I were relatively ready after last year's azz kicking.

Here in Putnam County NY although we got little water damage, the damage caused by high winds are evident everywhere. I have 3 trees with the tops snapped off on my property alone. All around town and along roads the same, including the poles holding the power lines. Everywhere there's damage. There are lines at the gas stations that fortunately have power and many are using generators for power, like me. Being on well water and septic systems you need the power to just go to the bathroom, lol.

It's going to be a long time till full restoration, but I think we are lucky up here this time for sure, the coast, all my friends in Queens and Long Island who are near the coast have been rocked! Friends in central NJ too... Sandy certainly packed some punch... But the scientific community has been telling NY City especially about the rising threats of water damage like this for years. NY's coastal waters are expected to rise 6" per decade and they better start planning for more of the same if doing nothing different going forward! Yes, thats 2' by mid century... Not that it will effect me by then, but still, lol. In other words, there should be NO surprise when this happens again.

You sir said just about it all. Around here. It's getting to the point where gas stations are open but all out of fuel. And we still have no idea when were getting our shippments. But at this point having power almost isn't the big issue, the gas crisis is...

Hang in there... that will change in the next day or two.

Last year when a good chunk of CT/MA was destroyed by Irene, gas became scarce quickly at the places that got power to the pumps. Neighbors and I started noticing which stations were open super early/late. Also they started getting daily deliveries. Those stations you see open made the orders and gas is on it's way daily. Took about 4 days for them to get a regular schedule in place on those things. Things should be kicking in around you in the next couple of days.

As for the landscape. It's a year later here and the changes are accepted now. Still blows my mind to drive up to my buddies shop and see entire hunks of forest lying flat on the ground and tons of trees etc snapped in half and still standing. Hell..the telephone pole in front of my place has 2 different wires hanging from it and I cut them about 6 feet up. No company has thought about touching them yet. They are likely old cable etc that wasn't used or pulled off the poles.

Disasters change the landscape and we and all the historical lovers who stand in the way of change/progress (not saying it's bad) have to live with the facts....that the weather changed things for us.
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.
