    I think we should start a little section just for like gtp vs sho, cause its one of gtp's biggest rivals and im sure alot of people would like to discuss gtp's vs sho's
    SLP headers, Wizaird cai, zzp1.0pcm ,slp powerflo catback, 3.4mps, NGK TR55's, 180*, zzp stage 1 hv tb,tb spacer, tb heatshield, Triple Edge Performance High performance Tranny, flipped motor mounts, spring blockers, prj 10.4mm wires, Sloted rotors & Ceramic brake pads,Alternator Voltage Booster. zzp 1.9 rockers & 105# springs

    The coupes competed with, i mean demolished, the Thunderbird SC (Supercoupe), but most of those are in the scrap yard by now, too.

    Well i have seen a bunch of them around here, but their all the older generation i never seen a newer sho. Well i guess they figure their fords and they just take them to the crusher.

    What year did gtp's come out with a decent supercharged engine.?.. what year did ford come out with something that could beat that supercharged car to this day? Props to ford for at least starting something in 4 door performance.

    97 GTP/M90 , or the mid 90's bonnevilles with the series I/M62 blower.

    I thought the SRT4's were close competition......a couple years ago.

    umm not really. stock SRT-4s are quicker than stock GTPs. now if you said if stock SRTs are faster than Stock GTPs, then NO.

    I don't know if I want to put mine in storage or not, Its supposed to sell right now for 5-6 grand, I dropped the price down to $4,000 and no bites yet...

    I've got plenty of storage, its just that I got so much maintenance done to it now I don't want to see it sit for years...

    Are the older generation 5spd shos the same performance as the newer generation v8 shos, i know the knewer shos only had auto's like a 98 for example. I could of bought a 94 blue sho in like mint condtion for 1200 bucks with a brand new tranny but needed it to be installed but i allready bought my gtp. I would like to have a sho cause i think it would be a good beater car, no offence sho owners.

    The 5 speed v6 SHO's can beat the V8 SHO's. The 96-99 SHO's were all automatic and V8. The reason why the MTX V6's could beat the V8's is when the V8's came out, they reworked the design of the intakes, the original intake mirrored after the v6's intakes boasted something near 300hp which was too much for the tranny they were going to put in them so they reworked the intake to make less hp for fear of replacing a bunch of tranny's or the money to beef it up. There is a website about this somewhere, but its been so long I can't remember it...

    They are fun cars, first time I ever was in a car that did a 30 ft burnout outta the high school parking lot was when my buddy had a automatic SHO v6. I was hooked.

    Hahaha niice. Im not really a ford fan, but they defently have good performance ill admit that. Theirs also a big thing about the gtp vs the ford super coup.

    Don't know if its rivalry or not, but twice a year we have our club clash against the Ford Thunderbird SC club. Its alot of fun.
