Didn't realize I never posted these. A few weeks ago I detailed a friend's JBP STi that was in need of some love.

    Process used:
    1. Washed whole car with Dawn to remove wax, grease, and heavy debris.
    2. Cleaned engine bay with Simple Green
    3. Removed each wheel from the car, cleaned inside and out, cleaned calipers, reinstalled and properly torqued
    4. Claybarred entire car
    5. Touched up all chips and scratches
    6. Polished with an orange Lake County pad on my PC7424
    7. Waxed with Collinite 845 Insulator wax
    8. Waxed door jambs, turnk jamb, under the hood, painted portion of wheel wells, headlights, tail lights, etc
    9. Windows cleaned inside and out with Invisible Glass, outside of all windows and mirrored Rain-X'ed
    10. Interior cleaned, stains removed where necessary, dash protected with 303
    11. 303 applied to tires and all under-hood plastic and rubber
    13. Attention to detail in every part of my work

I don't have many pictures of the paint before but these will give you an idea of what I was dealing with.

    Under spoiler before:

    Under spoiler after:

Quarter panel before (the whole car looked like this or worse):

    Quarter panel after:

    Finished product:

This picture does not do the car justice. The amount of pearl in the paint is unbelievable. The car looks gold/green in the sun:

And here's a few more shots of it with my STi:

Nice work. I appreciate someone who can pull off a polish on black, pearl or not.

Too bad you didn't get some other before shots. After is amazing tho, you can really tell the difference on the quarter panel.

    Very nice work!

Thanks guys! I'll actually be doing a detail on the Vibe soon and it's in really bad shape. I picked up some Meguiars 105/205 Polishing compounds in hopes that they provide better results than the single-stage polishes I've been using. The STi could use some love too, there's a few spots that are etched from bird droppings and whatnot that I can't quite polish out with single-step polishes but I've heard a lot of good things about the Meg's so we'll see. I got some Collinite 476s Super Doublecoat wax that I'm going to try out as well. I really like how the 845 Insulator Wax works with Subaru paint and the 476s is supposed to be a more durable version of the 845IW.
