My buddy is part of the vdub scene and one of their members just created a large forum for DIY's, builds, and any info for ANY car manufacturer.
The Pontiac section is empty so you guys should get at it

Lol my bad, it is a bit blue..
I'm just gonna copy past threads there and link them/credit them back to this forum. Maybe we can help them out while giving our Forum more eyes.
I dislike the blue, but the setup is decent looking, I just hate going to different forums for the same thing. But yes, copy over info and how-to's... just make sure credit is given to the makers.
Any publicity will also help get people over here which despite what 97GrandPrixSE thinks, its a good thing. Without visitors and new members we would just dwindle down to a few people and most likely the forum would shut down. None of us want that, so bring on the new people!!!
Hey guys,
I wanted to pop in here and introduce myself. I put the site together that the O.P. is talking about. It is 98% ready, I just posted it up in my local VW club's forum for people to check it out and let me know of any bugs or ideas to make it better before it "officially" gets rolled out. So if you have a chance please take a look at it and let me know what you think. If you think something could be laid out better or if you think the site is too blue (I've been looking at that site for what feels like forever and must've gotten used to the blueness) please let me know.
Also if you have anything to contribute I'd be grateful if you could share it. I'm looking for DIYs, builds, reviews, interesting articles, etc. The site will be a library for these interesting threads for all cars. I've been on various forums for the past decade or so and one thing I noticed is that people do a great job putting together interesting and helpful threads, but when it is time to find them it is really difficult. If you search "suspension install" on a given forum you may get over a hundred results, with only one or two actually being helpful. That is assuming you are on the right forum, there are usually dozens for a given car. With this site you'd be able to find these threads for any vehicle within three clicks of the homepage. If you've put a bunch of time into a thread like that, you know that feeling as you watch it sink into obscurity a few days after you post. If it is posted on this site as well it can be easily found and will help fellow enthusiasts long after it is lost in the archive of the other forums you post it in.
It will also help direct people to helpful forums. If they can't find the answer they need on my site they'll see what forum is linked in the technical articles for the car they are searching for and will know where to go. So any threads that were originally posted on this forum will have a link back to here for people to follow.
Thanks for the comments so far. Extra thanks to Nawarkk for spreading the word. Right now to get people to contribute I'm sending a free sticker if you register and post one of these articles, and you will be entered in to win a $200 gift card to RockAuto.com.![]()
