So my wife gave me permission to pick something up for the GP for my bday and I've had my eyes on both ssac headers and the gmpp handling upgrade kit (front and back sway bars and strut tower brace).
I can only get one right now and I am rather torn about it.
Headers are $225 shipped. Handling kit is $160 shipped.
I am planning on going to nitrofest in rock falls wi this year and they have auto-cross and 1/4 mile races, I am not worried about being competitive as the driver is going to be the greatest weakness no matter what, but it is always nice to have a little mechanical advantage.

So what would you guys get between the two for your birthday.

    GMPP.

You won't get much out of the headers until you start modding more. Granted, they're a good starting point, but the suspension will benefit you daily through every turn you take. Also it sounds like you're on a budget with modding, so half the price is nice too.

I understood that the headers were a start, and that's exactly where I am at.
But valid point on daily benefits, although when I get a tune, which I hope will happen in the not to distant future ( I just moved closer to a friend who has a tuner) the headers will help with mpgs everyday a little as well, as long as I can stay off the gas.

From someone that mods etc. I can tell you...handling.

Add in Energy Suspension bushings and endlinks and you will love the car. Headers..ehhh it'll be a little louder and no faster.
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.
