I sure would like to know what they did to that engine that gave it 300hp and 335 lb-ft torque, and do it through the 4T60E. I see the cross over is wrapped and there are SS braided lines running up to the water neck it appears.
I see it has an intercooler too, perhaps that most of it there. I would also love to have one of those hoods.
It's definitely intercooled, but it says it's still only running 10PSI of boost. Isn't that roughly how much the stock L67/L32 makes.
And, maybe it's just the color of the coating, but the front exhaust manifold doesn't look like a stocker.
7 or 8 psi i belive.
has a 3.5 pulley on it. i bet it makes 300 crank with a 3.5 and all the goodies to go with it.
why do you say its intercooled? they never made an intercooled grand prix.
Dam i really love those gtx rims, too bad they discontinued them.
From what I remember hearing a long time ago it was intercooled w/ a slightly more agressive cam, and a 3.0" pulley. I hear that somewhere, if it true or not who knows.
I wish they intercooled these cars from the factory. They should have been in the first place. Then again they never figured anyone would hop up these cars either. Oh well...
Well the Motor Trend article state it was intercooled, and I would assume that they would be able to tell and it would explain, at least in my mind, the SS lines running to the thermostat housing.
SLP is an aftermarket package. I was talking about factory, which backs up that anything is possible.
They did make a 300 HP intercooled L67, just one and it was never in production. Just a concept car.
No L67 came factory ICed in the US. Donno about the Aussies through, they have some bad ass GM **** over there. I'd live there for just that!
The 300HP GPX was a concept car.
When the GTP came out in 1997... It may have been '98 when SLP offered a GTX package that gave a bit more power than the factory 240HP with a smaller pulley, CAI and cat back exhaust.
I'm going to have to say that there was never a '97-'03 Grand Prix intercooled from the factory, or SLP.
