It's not bad at all. I actually own a 2007 MS3 (same exact engine), and I'm currently building the engine on it. I have about $3500 in parts (custom 10.5:1 forged pistons, forged rods, brand new block, etc). A new longblock can be purchased for ~$2500 from Mazda if you race your car and are a part of MazdaSpeed Motorsports (which I am).

OP, hit up Mazdaspeedforums.org if you want to get serious about building that MS6. The forums are much... rougher... than here, but the technical knowledge is second to none. I'm silvapain on there as well.

Im over 247 and 6club, which arent the best but no need to visit the forums to learn to build a car. thank man

That forum is a joke, bunch of guys trying to prove they are tough over the internet. its probably the worst forum ive ever visited
Also you have to donate to see the classifieds section? im on mustang, SVT,granprix, honda,avalanche,f150,nissan and a **** load fo forums and not one requires to pay to buy parts.

Being VIP to buy/sell protects members from scammers.

The MZR engine is nothing like the 3800. When you blow your engine you'll want to be on MSF to learn how to build it up right.

Have fun on 247 and 6club. You'll enjoy all the hellaflush and interior trim painting threads. When you want to run with the big boys come find me.

We make sure scammers are taken care of. MSF is more like a gang than a forum. It's hard to explain.

I could not care less what you do for a living. You talking about a 3" catback on a MS6 like it's a performance mod tells me enough.

I was just in OK this week. Drove through I-70 on my way to AZ. Stayed a night in Tulsa and saw a buddy in Stillwater. I wasn't impressed.

Edit: I was on I-40, not I-70. 4,000 miles in 6 days made everything blur together.

Not at all. He's far from the first to say that MSF is full of e-thugs. It doesn't matter to me either way. I started off offering some help, then I answered a question he had and made fun of him for being on 247, then I decided just to have some fun.

He could make fun of my mother and claim to sleep with my wife and/or dog and it wouldn't phase me. NCE.

I believe I did yes. Not really a bad state, just a little too 'confederate' for my tastes. I don't think people would get my asshole ways there.
