call it bullsh1t.
video soon to go viral.
Regardless.
lulz.
This is only going to get the result of the biker getting a nice big fat paycheck from the City and the officer no longer having a job there.
Unfortunately for the police, the officer has no proof that the guy he pulled over and arrested was doing anything wrong because his dash cam wasn't on. I see both sides though. The guy was riding with a group of jerks who were taunting the officers and you never catch all the fish when you go fishing. And for the arrested guy, he wasn't doing anything wrong besides riding with jerks, but I wasn't there so I don't know the whole story, so this is what I gathered from reading.
LOL Welcome to Texas:
In Texas an officer can cite you, or arrest you, for ANY violation of the Transportation Code EXCEPT speeding or open container.
Obscured license plate = get a warning, get a ticket, or go to jail at the officer's discretion.
If they ride in packs then yes they do stunts and wreckless stupid **** in the DFW area. Everytime I'm on the highway and there are at least 5 or more together they are popping wheelies, weaving in and out of traffic etc. The ****sticks even shut down the highway to do stunts during the memorial of a local bike rider who died the doing the same.
I seriously doubt the go pro on his helmet was just for filming a calm ride on the highway. More than likely he was going to film himself or his buddies. Anyone who doesn't believe that needs to open their eyes.
i swear half of law enforcement are gotdamn idiots
point is, he didnt tell him why he pulled him over. he came up with the obstructed plate purely to get into his cam. and thats wrong.
"sit down, I told you to chill out" seems like the cop needs to chill out to me but then again what do i know. lol
i agree. that cop is f'ed!
the guy who was pulled over was letting everyone pass him. from the the start of the vid i saw nothing wrong with his driving/riding at all. and was all alone, not part of any pack of bikers that i could see.
cop had a bad attitude for sure. the way he jammed him into the car is one problem the cop has, he also slammed the door on his leg.
As I stated in my previous post Texas law allows the police to arrest for ANY traffic violation other than speeding and open container. He was arrested for "obstructed LP."
Sounds like he needs to rally his riding brothers and take a trip to Austin to try and change that law. I have been pulled over numerous times in various cities surrounding the DFW area. I have come to the conclusion when you treat the cops with respect it usually ends well or at least you get to drive away.
I can definitely agree with the cops wanting to crack down on biker stupidity, I'll admit, I have done well over double the speed limit down thru dallas, no reason for it, but it was fun. However, the other video of the bikers harassing the cop was uncalled for as well. They do need to stop the crazy, for the safety of themselves, the riders, and the by-standards that could be harmed if something went wrong during a 70+mph stunt.
what they do NOT need to do is violate someones rights, confiscate their property on the HUNCH that they have incriminating evidence. Without a warrant, and with the rider being treated that way, anything used on the camera would be inadmissible in court anyways.
Couldnt some of them be busted for unsafe driving? Not using your blinkers for changing lanes and such? Im not a big fan of bikers, in a way I call BS on the arrest and such. But I live in Wisconsin, and bikers up here like to think they own the road. Until they do something totally retarded and then they eat pavement and get slaughtered by a vehicle. I have had a biker try and stop traffic by just standing in the wrong freaking lane with his hands up on a CURVE when are truck was hauling 4,000 lbs of stone.
