where the hell do you work with this many mustangs lying around!?
I'm a guy who usually sees the potential in things. Not what they are, but what they can become. A v6 car isn't a turn off, because it'll have a v8 before it's done. ;) The fastback vs. coupe is the only thing that causes issues. Fastbacks are way sexier.
its called "Mustang Stables" i counted the mustangs here one day and i got to like 60+ then i stopped because i lost track
and mechanical shop too lol
i agree fastbacks are way sexier there value is up very high right now no matter the condition, that's the only thing stopping me from having one, and 64 1/2-68 6 cyl are 4 lug and the V8 are 5 lug once they hit 69+ they mad them all the same 5 lugs well up to 73 atleast till they came out with the mustang II's im not really familiar with them. i wouldnt mind owning a straight 6 mustang they run very well and there really simple and easy to work on
I'd love to work at a place like that
its fun and interesting too and i learn alot especially about mustangs, funny thing is you would think my boss' son would drive a mustang but he has a GP lol well and a old mustang but its not a DD
Stick around any place that does car work, you'll learn stuff. Usually how stupid most people are, but you learn useful stuff too.
yea i plan on it, im 17 and this is already the second shop ive worked in. by June ill have my certifications for auto body/collision repair, I-CAR and OSHA safety certification etc. then after im done high school im going to get my ASE certifications
can u install headers ed?
not on our cars lol on older cars yea, im more of a body work collision guy then mechanical but i can install a power log just did mine Monday. my trouble is getting to the back of the engine, i could probably figure it out if i had a lift to work on. we have 3 at work but i cant always bring my car in for my own personal jobs
ah ic, looks like im spending like 150+ for the install at a mechanic then haha
that's not to bad considering most mechanics charge around 90 or so per hour, maybe you could find some one local who could do it cheaper? post a thread in the NE section maybe you'll have some luck
nah i alrdy made a thread about ppl being from philly and only a selected few said there were near it, i wont have any luck making a new thread about it
If you still don't have your headers on after July 1, give me a shout.
I really like Mach 1's. I have a 72 429 4v big block I would like to put in one of those. Or something to drop that big block in.
