No theres a relearn procedure on it somewhere. I used to have it now I don't
Something is wrong and I can't figure it out. MY IAC are 0 at idle yet I don't have vac leaks because i'm running 19-20 at idle, thats normal. Car runs fine otherwise, IAC aren't right though, it should be at 50-60 at idle. Used to be 55...
IIRC, there is an adjuster screw on the TB(im speaking regarding the L67 TB) and it allows a specific amountof the tb to be opened to allow some air/vacuum to enter. stock IAC counts are roughly 45-50 counts FWIW.
I found this.
Leave IAC unhooked and set idle speed to 700 to 730 RPM. Turn engine off and reconnect IAC connector. Drive at varying speeds reaching at least 45mph including stops and starts. This will relearn the computer adaptive strategy and it should idle fine. If the idle speed doesn't drop when connector is unhooked replace the IAC valve.
But I know nothing about it.
I followed a similar procedure when I got my TB. I could've just swapped IACs, but didn't feel like it. Didn't want to start at first. Then it started, and I shut it off to finish cleaning it up for a drive. Closed the hood, won't start. Opened hood, started. Closed hood, started again, and went for a drive.
It's like it was playing games with me. I've only had one issue since where on a cold start, I put it in reverse and it idle so hard I had trouble keeping the car from jumping back. But that was a one time occurrence.
To relearn it, cruse at a steady speed between 40-45mph, the PCM will cycle it all the way closed and relearn its position.... Or if you have a Tech II or maybe Hp tuners, you may be able to force it
