Yeah, preventing people from saying and writing what they want and going out of your way to make sure that person (or people) isn't heard...isn't that called FACISM?!! I dont know, and frankly dont care, about what goes on over there, so ill just shutup now before I start making comments about the power-drunken ClubGP mods and get myself in trouble....all i can say is thank god for the GPF

I think the link deleted was the links to GPNA. Started by others that got banned from ClubGP for selling custom made parts that they produced in their SPARE time....

Mike N. wants his money if you sell stuff or your gone... Simple as that.... Not that I like it....

I had quit going there for a long time due to some of the things people were doing and saying, and just went back because of trouble with my car. Saw the post about the deleted pm's and had to see what the fuss was about. I am a member of a few f-body boards, and most of them advertise for each other since each has a nitch they fill

I got fed up with that site long time ago. There is some good stuff there but wading through all the bs got to be annoying. I got back and troll around from time to time to see if anything "new" has come to light for the GPs.

If you spam, then you should get a warning or banned regardless on where you spam and what you put in it.

...We will, however, remove links to material that we feel is inappropriate as we become aware of them.
That is kinda an indication they can remove anything from anywhere, even PMs. I disagree with the concept in this case as "inappropriate". But at the same time, if it's spammed, it'll most likely be deleted.
If it is for one person to another, then a link to gpf shouldn't be deleted. Its a business refusing to show any reference to competitive information. Like google refusing to show links to yahoo in their search engine or direct TV never showing cable or the dish network commercials. It's legal but you would question doing business with them. Especially if its not advertisement but communication between two people.

Way too strong of censorship if you are censoring 1-to-1 PMs with someone else's forum in them. Doing so is inappropriate.

x2. I pop my head in for the entertainment. But that's gotten really annoying. Still some good stuff in the archives when you have a very complext question. But even the archives have folks being mean for no reason. Everytime I read it I think 'Man, the guy just asked a simple question!'

People got mean on ClubGP because there was NO enforcement of the rules. Well I should really say there was very "SELECTIVE" enforcement... That place has gotten out of hand long ago...

Yeah, whenever I had a problem or a question I got the "Learn to search dumbass" crap. There wasn't even any point in asking for help over there. And the bloody search never worked properly to begin with. Heck even OT sucks now, it used to be cool until AAG closed.
Yes, I drive an 08 Civic.

Dont even get me started on that. If the search function worked over there, then I could understand such statements but its not like its a big secret or something. Everyone knows and everyone comments about it yet you get the dirt bags that just have to say "Try using search next time".

Well, you know what, had I thought of it, I would have, but since the thing doesnt work its not like one of my first thoughts.

Even here where the search function works I would never post that unless it was just an extreme case of something that is well documented and commented about like can I use 87 octane on my L67. Then I might say something. Other than that, I consider it just rude.

We are a community and we are supposed to help one another out, no matter the question or problem. And you know what, maybe it isnt such a bad thing that these questions get brought up often, maybe there has been new developments or advancements or something that has changed the answer.

The way I see it if your gonna take the time to say use the search you might as well give em something to work with. I'm a member on another board (for motorcycles) and the search feature is the greatest thing since sliced bread or the worst thing. You have to know what to type to find what your looking for. And as a result you see tons of use the search or you see a little pic with a guy pointing the search button etc. You really need to know the nuances to get em to work and I've been there for three years now and still don't know the nuances and the one poster who does has to always say use the search!!!!! Drives me batty.

You will never see me say use the search, I will answer the same question a billion times. Just becasue the simple fact that use the search button statement ticks me off so bad.
