I wouldn't say killed it in the early 90's. But definately in the 2000's. And this new crap that came out is just "rap" its not gangsta and its not hip hop its a "Retarded Attempt at Poetry". I'm talking about ppl like soulja boy. Holy sh!t they let anyone make music now a days.

I disagree alot with this statement but I grew up in the 90's. I prefer the 80's metal personally but there was alot of good music in the 90's that was rock as well or in the alternative category.

Candlebox, Alice in Chains, Silverchair, Tool, Bush, Jane's Addiction, Pearl Jam, Black Crows, STP, Tom Petty, Green Day, Foo Fighters, Nirvana....Garbage???? I think not... I jam quite frequently to 90's rock.

pearl jam was the 90's. alternative rock was good in the 90's.
hip hop was great in the 90's/early 2k's.
im noticing a more 90's based style in newer progressive/alternative rock.

I liked the 90's dance music most of them one hit wonders, but still fun. There was also a lot of Mexican rock bands that were very popular here in the 90's.
