For nearly a year now i've been wanting to get another car to tinker around and have fun with. Not that the two cars I work on ain't fun, I just wanted some else to play with. I thought about going all out and building something or restoring something from scratch. Thats easier said than done, especially with my work schedule. So I decided on looking for something newer that I can have fun with again, hard to find something nice and clean to start with. I've been looking for awhile, alot of ragged out rides out there trust me! Then I decided, well I REALLY don't need a 9-10 sec car now anyways or the maintence that comes with one so I decided on focusing on something more fun and practical.
Well, enter in Abby. We've been trying to agree on something for awhile, the only car we ever agreed on is her GTP and she loves it course shes always liked mine. She wanted something more room and 4 doors. Shes been looking at Avaitors, Trailblazer LS, etc... all I can say is BOOOOOOOOOOOORING. I didn't want something i couldn't enjoy too, otherwise there was no point in this endever. Basically I wanted something RWD, V8, Lots of power, Lots of potential, and something cool to roll in.
This morning she looked on autotrader and found something, something very nice and something we can both agree upon. This evening we went and looked at it and took it home! Its got plently of room for whatever she wants it for and it has plenty of power and potential for me. I never thought i'd own an SUV until now.....
Yep... a 2007 Trailblazer SS! Its only got 6,000 miles on it and not a flaw on it. I couldn't believe it. I tried to haggle the dealer on the price some but the damn thing was too perfect, imagine that! I still got it for about 2k under bluebook so I can't complain one bit. Its a ballzy SUV, i'll say that. Its pretty much stock, except for the Ventvisors, Tint, and a Flowmaster 40 Series 2 chamber muffler. I'm betting it'll run low 14s as it sits. It smokes 20s easily (scared the salesmen a couple times I think!).
Anyway, here's the 3rd edition to the family...
