Got a fresh Galaxy Nexus.. Aaron, I'm probably looking at you for this answer

Beyond the fact that I use Pandora at work on full volume to drown out the fat, ugly, super evil, demon whore that sits next to me.. what options do I have to prolong battery life ...

Clearly I'm probably running with every single thing turned on. Any tips/tricks?

It went in when the phone was purchased. Great idea...keep them coming.

Already have that...just trying to ensure...when I'm away..that I don't need an extension cord..lol

I don't know if VZW is still having the offer, but in Jan. they offered batteries for 50% off. I got my extended battery and cover for like $28 bucks shipped. If you do not have 4g coverage in your area Bill, go into your settings > More... (Under Wireless & Networks)> Mobile Networks > Network Mode > and change to just CDMA if you have no 4G coverage. Being connected to wifi will improve your battery life if you have wifi available. Don't install any task killer or other crap like that as they do more harm than good. As koniig said, check under Settings > Accounts & Sync > and see what you have all setup. You can change the update time that will also conserve your battery life. If you want to go full blown, root and install a custom recovery and flash a kernel. But that take a lot more insight to do. Otherwise Android does a decent job at killing tasks that are unneeded.

Thanks...seems like I'm pretty up to speed then. I knew better than task killing. I tend to use a good amount of stuff though. Always on it.

Bill, if you wanted to take it even farther, keep your display brightness down to low. Don't use automatic brightness and use a darker wallpaper. Those will both throw a little in as well, considering that the screen consumes most of the battery life outside of radios.

It adds a little thickness to the bottom of the phone, basically fills in the divot on the back. It also helps with holding the battery, and feels a little more comfortable in the hands.

Seidio makes a stupid large battery for the phone as well. It serious looks like the phone is pregnant or some crap. If you are serious enough to buy that, then you might as well just get the free flip phone that can go days on end.

I stated it before but display technology is greatly improving. What is known as a Mirasol display is in the works, currently the color if off and looks washed out. They are super low consumption which could make your phone last weeks on a single charge. Probably won't see much about Mirasol displays till late this year or beginning/middle of next year. They still have a ways to go on it.
