Seeing as I know a single 580 won't do what I want... Benchmarks still matter somewhat to me.

    make no sense.

1 card at a lower clock > two cards at a higher clock.

well a single 580 made by who?

mine is made my msi with the twin frozer III "intercooler" on it plus all the parts on the board are higher quality etc....
bottom line it comes over clocked at 832mhz vs 772mhz factory then i can take it all the way to 1ghz if I wanted to but i keep it at 900mhz core/1800mhz shader and 2100mhz memory temps stay around 54*c , the afterburner software will ramp fan rpm to match temp, but even at 1ghz was only seeing 65* with fan at 85%

My friend is struggling at the moment trying to maintain decent frame rates with games maxed out with 4x MSAA in 3D with a single 580 matrix at 930 I believe.

I know his CPU isn't the greatest, AMD 1100T overclocked some.

But other than that, I can't really see why this isn't believable.

Edit: Single 460 overclocked resulted in 1903 in Kmark.

So my summary of my sli setup = useless is accurate LOL

    single card: 1903
two card with one on physx: 2224
    SLI: 1794

What do to mean older test ? I did that last night. My CPU is only over clocked to 3ghz. Amd set ups have proven to bottle neck all my previous builds I still have my gtx285 card that ran 30% faster on my intel setup.
