NoiseSnare device gets nod from city committee - Calgary - CBC News

so we have bylaw officers, and then city cops here in calgary. so our tax dollars at work right? yet they keep inventing devices to put on the road and issue tickets.

so we have red light camera's here (ticket if you run the light) on top of that if your going through a light that's yellow and speeding, you'll also get a ticket.

then we have photo radar here. so a vehicle or box on the side of the road snaps a picture of your plate and issues a ticket if you speeding.

    now this device.

don't get me wrong i agree with the purpose of these devices, just don't agree with the money being spent on them AND spent on the man power for bylaw officers/cops.

In the US more of those type of devices are being removed. They violate our constitutional right to face our accuser in the court of law. On top of that, the red light cameras have been proven to actually increase accidents at intersections.

These type of devices are not out there for safety, they are out there for revenue.

I hate that to the T, by the way, music tickets for Cleveland, Ohio went up past $400. It's ridiculous how money hungry Cleveland is for music tickets and even people with stock stereo systems have gotten pulled over before too.

im all for them issuing tickets for stupid loud cars/motorcycles driving excessivly loud after 10pm on a residential area. im sorry, but im fking tired of being woken up by a stupid fat harley owner who decided to put straight pipes to be cool.

that said, its never gonna work that way. our red light cameras stopped working too.

I honestly can care less about loud sound, I'm very tolerable. It could be a ricer driving past me, the only insult I'd have is he only put a muffler on it and did nothing else lol
