why does the opener have to be some awesome crazy episode. it was there to establish the season, not to pull you back in. if you aren't hooked already then they don't care about adding a new audience.

Very true, this isnt Game of Thrones here.... (By the way Game of Thrones is literally the greatest tv show out there. On the other hand though its not really a show since each "episode" is almost as long as a movie.) Not every episode has to be, nor should be super exciting with a ton of people dieing and a bunch of action. You would get used to it and then get bored of it. Its good to have some medium interest episodes and some slow ones, so that when something big does happen, then you really do feel like its something significant. And now im excited for GoT to begin again... damn.
But maybe it is air borne now. The only problem I have with it is that everyone is technically already infected with it. They just have to die to get it to activate. My inner biologist is coming out here and getting me wondering on what is going on in the background for this virus/bacteria thingy. (Studying Marine Bio in college atm, with some genetics classes on viruses and such.) I hope we get a good explanation for this. But! Remember in season two when Rick and Shane found both those cops that were clearly zombies (dead zombies that is) and they both noted that neither of them were bitten or scratched? So maybe some people are just susceptible for it to activate randomly. Or maybe its a time thing, so everyone is literally just a walking time bomb before the virus activates and begins to kill its host making them come back to life.
