Yeah I'll take that Charger off your hands, certainly the Vette will be enough to keep you occupied for a while

You certainly have a nice collection of vintage and current rides no doubts! Good job on keeping them up!! And that last photo of you and your crew working on that car looks like it belongs on the front of some band's album cover

Whats that Charger have under the hood now? (I see a 440 swap in the future)

I love old Mopars. Back in my high school days my buddy and I built up his 1972 Plymouth Road Runner. It was originally a 340 car but it had a 400 BB in it. He bought the car from a guy for $2,500, ugly body but nicely done up motor (it was cammed). The motor however ran like **** and had problems, the guy gave up on it and we had our crack at it. First week he had it he snuck it to the track and it ran a 15.2 cutting out 1/2 way down the track, it was barely going. One weekend we yanked off the heads and they were cracked, guides were shot, etc. They were ported and had double valve springs. We went to a swap meet and found a set of good clean 440 heads for a song and a dance. He had shop clean em up, port em and completely rebuld them. Threw them on w/ an Edlebrock alum high rise, New Double Roller timing set. Holly 850, Chevy 350 fan, Aftermarket Radiator, Hooker Headers, 2-1/2" exh w/ glasspacks dumped at the axle, MSD ignition, etc etc. After all that it was a running machine! After about a month the tranny and rear end were getting weak so the 727 was built by a local guy w/ some hard parts, manual valve body, 3000 stall, etc. The 8-3/4" rear was rebuilt and the stock 3.23 gears were tossed for a set of 3.91s, it was a Sure Grip rear end. All throttle, no bottle! With that cam (pretty decent cam, nice and lopey although I don't remember the details on it), it sounded sooo good and mean, very healthy.

After all was said and done, the car was very quick, never took it to the track though, but it was street raced every Friday and Saturday for 2 years straight without a single major break down! We had a lot of fun with that car. It would easily beat bolt on LS1 cars on the street and it beat several Headed + cam Fox body stangs. One of the best races for that car was with a headed and cammed fox w/ a 100 shot and they were side by side. Good times, good memories, and lots of trouble!

    Nice Mopar man...

The charger has a 318 in it.. but we did our best to wake it up.. with a holley 650 and some headers... we tore it apart last year because it never ran quite right and we found on of the valve springs was cracked... so we got that fixed and it runs like a sun of a gun right now.

The 440 was going to be slipped in it this year... but i bought the grand prix and im gonna be strapped for cash as it is (19 years old, going to college, you get the idea)... ill still try to put it in this year... just not with the 550 horsepower i was planing on (stock 375 isnt to shabby).

Well with a lot of patience of course!

Basicaly i took all the pictures without moving the camera (so the background stayed the same), this was difficult because lighting conditions can change dramaticaly over a very short period of time (the picture taking took place in under ten minutes). Then i uploaded them onto the computer and used the free form select key to cut the images i needed out and pasted them to the main pic. After that i just used kodak easyshare softwear to give the image a little more brightness.. lots of time but worth the wait

You got me... i didnt do the full restoro... weve replaced the floors, trunk, part of the frame, top of the motor, and interior. But the body was done before i got it, the guy had a 68 parts car and i can only guess that the fenders and grill were better than what was on it.

The simple fact is i dont have the money to fix it. I bought a grille but i like the 68s so much more, and to repaint now would risk mismatching the colors.

No worries though, in 3 more years when im out of college it will have a complete restoration, then you will see what a jewel it really is!
