My sister wants me to go look at this car for her to tell her if its a safe buy. Does anyone know anything about these and common problems?

They are fine cars if they have options, that is a pretty high mileage vehicle for 5 years old though, and I wouldn't trust GM's quality in 2006... although there are no recalls for that year, idk. I wouldn't go for it.

Lol it has more miles than my car!

yea but she just needs a decent car to get around campus and come home with time to time that is a lot of miles and the way I see it I'll have to do plugs wires rotors and pads plus new fluids all around ontop of the vc gasket if that is whats leaking haven't seen it yet so idk but thats a good $500 or so in tune up cost I would already say shoot for $3500 instead of $3600 just because

Right. Take a test drive, make sure it doesn't have tranny problems. I would offer $3000, but he says not really negotiable...

I HATE when people put great first car! That usually means there is something wrong with it, but idk just check it out, it might be fine!

It's ONLY 5 years old and they are saying "don't expect it to be new"? Did they even treat this car decent? Everyone I know with cars that age, the car still looks close to brand new.

Just throw in their face how you know cars and you understand the cost of repairs even if you do it yourself. KBB value is more like $4800..so I guess $3,600 isn't bad, though you will find out if it really is a steal or not once you see the car and check it out.

looks like it needs some thorough detailing on the interior. Take it for a test drive, and feel for especially the suspension, expect some blown suspension parts, the suspension on those things isn't all that strong.
