I had to go without chrome for one night due to my anti-virus having a fit, I hated the fact that I had to switch to IE for a short amount of time. I'll never go back.

Been using Google Chrome for uhh....well a LONG time. I even carry around a portable version on a flashdrive and have it synced to my version at home so all my bookmarks and saved passwords are always updated between the two.
Looking back now I can't imagine how I ever lived with Internet Exploder.

or you could switch to Linux and not have to worry about a slow OS because of memory hungry apps that you need to install after the OS
