morons driving into floods

well its raining again and the road has flooded again, saw 3 cars drive right into 3 feet of water tonight, 2 got out, one not so lucky lol

this guy, made a left turn out of the right side of the pic, this is as far as they got, nice wave when they ran into the water too.

same car plus one new car backing out of the water, the car on the right is the same car from the other shots, just from the other side of the hole. this is where they drove into the flood from. how do you not see all that water???

Not the time to have a cold air intake, lol. I wouldn't drive straight into flooded water like that without doing some checks first.

A couple years ago there was a lot of rain and some small dams broke. Well it flooded every road to get home and was blocked off. I had been at work all day till about 10 PM that night, so this was starting to piss me off. Finally after driving around for 2 hours with the Regal found a road that wasn't blocked off so I took it. After being on it for about 10 minutes, came up to some water. I got out of the car to check things out. There was a Ford Taurus that had appeared to of stalled out earlier. I estimated the water about 2 to 3 feet deep and about 150 feet long. So I said, what the heck, I'm not sleeping in the car. If I stalled, I'd use the sunroof (which I opened in case of no electrical power) and have fun pushing in the water.

Well, I approached at about 5-10 mph and maintained speed as I entered and being careful to not spin the tires. The Regal did fairly well and actually looked like the Taurus drifted away as I drove past it. At that speed the car made a little wave and kept the water just below the headlights. The height of the water would have been up to the front of the hood if I came to a stop. As I approached the other end, the Regal had a hesitation climbing out of the water, but I just maintained the throttle and came out easily. The only things that got wet were the airfilter, which surprisingly wasn't soaked and the passenger carpet was a little wet (just enough to the touch) so I just vacuumed it when I got home and applied some heat to dry.

Had the water been over the hood of the other car, I don't think I would of tried it nor do I recommend it anyways. The car had no mods to it at this time either so I had some room for a little water injection, just not buckets of it of course. Gives a new meaning to my girl calling it a boat. She likes her little Honda which I don't think would have fared near as well.

I was driving throught Detroit the other weekend on 1-96 and saw cars swirving and sh*t up ahead, it was night and raining pretty bad. Cars were going 65mph into about a foot and a half of water. luckly i was in the left lane (right lane was flooded)

ive had my 03 gmc pick up, witch had 33's on it, and a 2 inch lift, it sat high from the factory as well, but any ways i used to go looking for floods to drive through lol, and i had water up past the windshield and 3 inches up on the doors window glass, it was quite deeper that it usually was. i had it 4 low when when i went in, still dont know how it stayed running as the intake box was way under water for quite some time lol, threw a cel light that went away the next day, and while doing a gear oil swap, the front diff was all milk, so water got in the vent, but it still worked, no damage from that. the cab stayed completely dry too.

another time while foold running, i was in like almost 2 feet of water, and this car in front of me was just going to damn slow so i punched it and passed what turned up to be 2 girls with a open sun roof lol yes i soaked them good, not my intentions but thats what happened lol

On a rural road in Missouri I used my '88 Pontiac 6000 to push a '77 Thunderbird through 2 1/2 feet of water. She got stuck 30 ft through a 70 ft "puddle".

^Win. And my Regal was starting to feel lighter when I was going through the water, but think water would have to be at the window before it would float completely.
