Well it all started with my 89 mustang 5.0 then to my 95 mustang 5.0 then to my 99 gtp. Ill sum it up...got my license on may 24 2006 wich was my 18th birthday my license was suspended in december that same year for doing 41 over trying to catch up to race another mustang....as soon as i got out of jail i went straight and bought a radar detector lol...ill list all of my tickets all within about 2 years...now remember...i wasent driving for 6 of those months because of my license suspension...or at least i wasent suppose to be ....here we go....

these are not in order and i only have the ones i managed to hold on to and not loose...i lost about 2 or 3...

(feb 25 2007)-all at same time- all in the mustang

    no insurance
    suspended license
loud music-2 stock door spearkers in my mustang lol
    suspended regestration
    window tint
    bald tires- street slicks

    (feb 6,2006) mustang
    no license on person

    (nov 14,2006) mustang

    (feb 2 2007) mustang-all at same time

    (march 29,2008) gtp

    (april 4,2008) gtp
failure to obey an officer directing traffic- it was raining, dark and the cop jumped in front of me and wanted me to stop when i was going 40 mph in 15ft...i slowed as much as i could but passed him.

    (aprill 13,2008) gtp
    laying drag

and i know my first ticket in my 89 mustang was a 14 over...but like i said i lost a cupple. funny how i only got my license suspended one huh? all of the tickets that i have ever gotten have all been reduced to under 14 mph ( wich doesent go on your record) except for the 41 over...just talked with the judge is all.

I've finially learned my lesson now i think and even though i do get on it sometimes when im tuning ect it's not nearly as much as i did before.....estimated money spent on tickets, lawyers, probation fees, get car out of impound...around 10k........im a firefighter now and am looking to become a cop in about a year or two...talked with the sargent and he said it shouldent be a problem as long as i dont get into any more trouble. I have wanted to be a cop since i was like 10 years old. you wouldnt think so huh?

I dont know if I would be to proud of that fact? I guess you are one of those ones who cant get the hint after the first two or three tickets?

I know my first ticket very well, I was in 10th grade and I was speeding 25 over in a 50 back in Louisville. I was driving my dad's company car, his old 83 Buick Cutlass Supreme. Needless to say he was NOT thrilled about the ticket. I didnt goto Jail cause the officer realized it was my first time and I guess he felt sorry for me. My dad had to buddy up with my next door neighbor who was an attorney to help get me out off with only traffic school.

I was good on not speeding until my Senior year in high school when I was rushing home and got nabbed for going 18 over. My dad had to buddy up again to my neighbor and I got traffic school again.

And then my Freshman year in college I got another for speeding, less than 6 months after my last one. Mom and Dad were not pleased at all. So that one I had to take the points.

It wasnt until the end of my senior year in College that I got another speeding ticket, but luckily one of my friends on the Campus Police force at the Univ of Louisville knew the officer who issued me the ticket. A few cases of beer and a lot sucking up made the ticket go away.

Then I got my job in St. Louis working as a Police Officer in 92. I was pulled over several times throughout my 8 years on the job, and my "get out of jail badge" helped quite a bit on them. Never got any tickets in the 10 or 12 stops I had been involved in during that time.

Almost 8 years passed since that time till July of 07 when I got nabbed for going 14 over. I had to goto the Richmond Heights Town Hall to see the judge and asked for forgiveness cause it was my first traffic ticket in almost 16 years *a white lie, but i was not sworen to oath*. I had waited literally 3 hours in the court house cause their docette was full. I told the judge I was guilty, but ask for the courts forgiveness in the matter. he said "You waited three hours to stand before me, I guess we can honor that." So I got off with a high paid parking ticket, $119 bucks worth and no points.

And then in November of 07 I got nabbed for 18 over going down a hill with my foot not even on the gas, but actually on the brake. The officer knew the spot well and it was easy pickens. He worked for a small township that hires the County Police to do their police work. I call them affectionately "Revenue Police." That is their sole purpose to make the township money, nothing more.

I had to goto County court to see the judge and I asked for Traffic School and she granted me it cause I had no prior convictions for speeding I wound up paying $150 in court costs and the fee for "Defensive Driving School." Which actually helped on my Insurance cause it was considered a "good thing" by my insurance agent *snickers*.

Of course like you after that ticket I went out purchased a nice Bel 65RX Pro radar detector in December of last year. So far its helped to save me a few times, but I have tried to good anyways without the benefit of the radar detector, cause its not gonna stop everything, ie Laser, Arieal Radar etc.

I never got involved in racing incidents like you have been involved in, but still the lessons learned are the same. Use your head before you use your pedal. It actually helps sometimes

Ive gotten a handfull of tickets over my driving career but nearly all of them speeding. I got one in the Firebird, too fast in a school zone that was not there when I left to go oversease. I got hit with that one pretty hard and I had to take driving class. Then in the Fireo I got pulled over for doing 105 in a 40 by an unmarked car. As he walked up to my car he had his hand on his weapon and I just knew I was going to get shot for speeding (rightly so actually, but its a long story). Short story long, he wrote me a warning. I kid you not, I saved that thing forever because I knew what peoples reaction would be. I went straight home after that and I spent the rest of the day, literally, reflecting on just what I was doing as a driver and what kind of stupidity would possess me to drive like that. I blamed it all on my mom as she taught me how to drive and was a racer herself.

After that ticke I settled down a bit for a long long time. I would do the typical 5 miles over the speed limit, rarely more than 10 or 15 over and that mainly on the highway. I limited my fun time to either the track or on back roads I knew really well, which from storm chasing I have learned of many of them around here and a few in southern Kansas.

I did get a ticket in the Grand Prix here in town and it has been the only one. Cop sitting under an overpass just before the speed limit sign which of course, Ive already made it to. Coming out of a 35mph zone into a 45mph zone. Well he pulled me over because of that and gave me a ticket that cost me $91.00. Im usually never mad, upset or anything like that when I get pulled over as I know what my speed is and if I get pulled over I know what the reason is and Im not going to argue, fight, yell, scream, etc to get out of a ticket. I know Im wrong and I'll take my lumps for it. Im as nice as I can. I respect they are in a touchy situation pulling someone over and I keep my hands on top of the steering wheel and tell them every move I have to make to get things like my license, insurance, etc. However, on that ticket I was a little peeved. But nonetheless, I was over the speed limit for the zone I was in and I guess what better place to set up than right before the sign.

I have been driving for four years and I have only been pulled over once. I was cruising home after a wrestling tournament last feb. I was feeling pretty good because I won and I had the state tournament the next weekend. I was on a road that I take to school everyday. It is just a county road that is pretty boring to drive. The speed limit is 55 and I had the cruise set at 65. I went by a little church where I have seen cops but didn't think anything of it. All the sudden I saw lights pull out behind me so I quickly slowed down to 55 and he followed me for a little ways and then pulled me over. I think he thought was looking for drunk drivers because it was 12:00 on a Saturday night. I had actually just left the bar too..... A few of us went out to eat after wrestling. He let me off with a verbal warning.
This was in our 1992 Buick Lesabre.

I have gotten quite a few tickets in my driving career. I remember the first one I ever got. It was just few months after I got my license driving home after a basket ball game. Just driving not paying attention to the speed, cop pulled me over. 84 in a 55, $55 and 8 points off of my license, only had 6 to loose from the start. So I lost my license and had to go through drivers ed and the 6 month permit thing again.

I almost always get out of my tickets Once, I was going 85-90 in a 65 or 70 and the highway patrolman liked the tat on my neck, so he gave me a verbal warning. I only get tickets if my husband is with me. I guess guys have it rough. That sucks.
