Maybe some of you can help me on this. I recieved an OEM supercharger gasket a few days ago in the mail its gray with orange silicon going around coolant passages. My question is the opening on the gasket is smaller than the opening on the lower intake manifold as well as the supercharger opening, by about 2 inches or so. Have you all seen this before and is this normal, because I cut the opening to the same as the lower intake and I think its caused a little vacuum leak around the supercharger. The reason why I think this is because I went from a 3.8 pulley to a 3.5 pulley with supporting mods and ported heads and my boost went from like 8psi wot to 5psi wot.

do you have a boost gauge??

what the vac at idle?? It should be around -19 to -20.

But with ported heads the flow will be higher so less boost.

thats good then, at idle its always gunna be around -20 because the throttle plate it closed. As soon as you press the gas pedal the vaccum will go down and like you said while driving its around 10-15 is noraml because the rpms are higher than idle and the throttle plate it open.

Okay well is the oem supercharger gasket suppose to be smaller than the opening on the supercharger, and also do you think that because of the ported heads its decreased my boost even with a 3.5 pulley. Also the digital boost thats the stock boost guage doesnt go all the way up either.

sounds like you got a gen 3 gasket for your gen 5 or you have a ported/opened up intake manifold. do you have any pictures?

Sounds like a gen 3 gasket. Gen 3 and gen 5 have the same bolt pattern the only difference is the size of the inlet of the manifold. Gen 5 has a bigger opening.

damn I got raped on that deal. I was wondering why he only wanted 15.00 bucks for it. Well I cut it out anyway and used black high temp rtv silicone on the side that I cut out. So far it works fine other than switching my pulley and actually loosing boost. Thanks for help man it makes sense to me
