I'm pretty sure that the order goes: Remove pulley, take hoses off, unbolt pump and pull it out right? I have never done a power steering pump before and was curious how to get it off. Its a 3.8 car.

Assuming your new pump does not come with a pulley then yes, this is the general order. May need new o-rings for the PS lines. Take a look at where they screw into the pump and make sure. Some have them, some don't. I know the pump on my 03 CV Sport has an o-ring on it, but that's a 4.6L.
